<*dv_0*>I love fajitas, in fact I love anything that involves meat, bread or pastry products, but I have recently found myself unable to stomach them. This has nothing to do with a bad batch that left me doing something unpleasant through the eye of a needle or in fact that last week I ate twenty in one sitting without drawing breath. The blame has to lay squarely on Old El Paso.
Some bright, advertising, spark at old El Paso decided to embark on an advertising campaign that would turn hundreds, maybe thousands of men, yes I think mostly men, off one of their major selling products, the "Fajita Dinner Kit".
You must have seen it, it's the one where a caring loving husband is preparing a beautiful meal for his wife, while the bitch, sits on the telephone slagging him off to her best friend. There is one particular moment that now drives me (totally unreasonably) to turn the sound down on my TV, it's when she says, as she's talking to her friend, "Do you hear that?......he says it's a blend of aromatic herbs and spices", The sarcasm in her tone makes me shake with rage, the sound of her voice, which is a little like Sarah Cox's but without the knowledge that Sarah Cox has great tits, so it's ok, grates on me.
I'm not sure who I feel more loathing for, the smug wife or the sap of a husband, who, instead of placing a couple of the carefully prepared fajitas where the sun don't shine, he just smiles and shakes his head....twat.
Anyway, I now am unable to eat fajitas, Old El Paso have given birth to so much passion within me that I find it impossible to eat one without hearing that woman's voice, and stabbing myself repeatedly in the head with my fork.
<*dv_1*> I'm not interested in changing the mind of Old El Paso, it's way too late for that now, my plea goes out to Pukka, Frey Bentos and Shire, the Gods of pies, do not follow in their footsteps.
