<*dv_1*>Do you know what I find SO irritating? It's those people who have no sense of their own style or opinion, those who have no individuality. Like leeches they feed from others, portraying an image of a lifestyle they just don't have. Annoyingly I, like most individually minded people, am often prey to these sorts. They don't just admire your shoes, they have to own a pair exactly the same. Infact no, they don't just stop there - they have to own the whole sodding outfit. And after searching the land high and low to find the style of clothes I like, the last thing I want is to be surrounded by people wearing exactly the same thing. I should learn to keep my mouth shut I guess. But fevered with excitement at finding the exact item I've hunted down for years (Ok for awhile then) you have to share it with the world Don't you?
If it stopped here, I could perhaps be a little more generous towards these little parasites. But not only do they have no idea what they should be wearing, they have no idea about anything else either. For example, my EXACT bathroom (with tiles and shower unit to boot) can be found in numerous houses now! How infuriating is that? Do you know how long it took me to find those tiles?
It doesn't stop here! They even try to hit on my friends And want them to be their friends! And talk to me about my own friends as though I have never met them before in my life! Sometimes I think I've entered into a parallel universe.
<*dv_0*> It's frustrating that these people DO get away with pretending that they're something they're not. At face value they do indeed give the impression of being the person they would like to be. Friends say I should be flattered that my tastes inspire others and that they are worth stealing. But I'm not Because it is stealing, stealing their own little piece of my soul.
<*dv_2*> I suppose the one thing I can cling to is that with me what you see IS what you get, my life is real. And my friends and those closest to me can vouch for that. So can the parasites, because deep down they know who they are and they know what they are. Anyone who gets close enough to them will be able to smell that whiff of cheap imitation perfume that clouds the real individual.
