<*dv_2*>Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Judgement Day has supposedly come and gone and now here we are forced to face a new kind of fear. Who would have known we are to encounter Armageddon once again?

<*dv_3*> John Mostow has a vision what he wanted out of T3, very much unlike James Cameron. Explosions, more explosions and even more explosions that caused mass destruction. He was like a child being given $170M (or so I heard) worth of Lego sets.

*Spoilers ahead - proceed at your own peril*

<*dv_1*> I was truly speechless. Words can't even describe how I felt. It took them 4 years to come up with Matrix Reloaded, it took 12 YEARS for T3. It was like watching the remake of T2 with much tighter paced action sequences that left you completely breathless with a few added new twists and tasteless humour. So you can expect Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kristanna Loken arriving naked, Arnie acquiring some leather clothing and some shades (looks like he adopted Elton John's style in this one!), an extended car chase with massive vehicles, crashing into anything solid, smashing building into pieces and literally tearing the road apart (HULK?). And orgetting, trying to save mankind once again.

The new nemesis, Terminator-X, is a new improved (not by a great deal) version of Robert Patrick's T-1000. I emphasise again 12 years! And all she could do is create weapons from her liquid metallic body and manipulate machinery to do her evil bidding. Skynet has obviously forgotten to input some memory chip into this artificial intelligence. She could have easily formed any kind of weapon with her arm yet she needed a gun. Was there a point at all as she voluntarily enhanced the size of her tits and cleavage? She wasn't entirely convincing as a menace, but maybe that was the basic idea. Portraying that sexy innocent look and the next thing you know you are history (sounds like a couple of my ex's - S)

The Terminators seemed to come up with a lot of one-liners. I'm sure everyone remembered, "I'll be back", "Hasta La Vista, baby" etc and now I pray to God the whole nation won't start saying "Talk to the hand!" It had me laughing and banging my head on the seat in front of me, crying out WHY?! Give them a break, they do come up with something worthwhile. Wait for it."The future is inevitable". Then what the fuck are the Terminators doing in the present day if the future is inevitable? So Judgement Day was not prevented but merely delayed (or there wouldn't be any T3 would there?). So if there was a need to send back Terminators then does this mean the human race is actually winning the war? Does this mean if there's going to be a T4 that is definitely the ending?!

<*dv_4*> T3 didn't do its predecessors any justice. It covered plot holes with more plot holes. It's just full of action sequences and clichs: - so expect the EXPECTED! After watching it, I seriously doubt there's any need for T4 unless it is to depict the raging war between Skynet and the Resistance. WARNING: only to be watched by the brain dead and hardcore action goers.
